Characteristics of temperate rain forests
There are a number of differences between temperate and tropical rain forests. Temperate rain forests are cold and wet, have fewer tree species that are taller with long pointed crowns. The rate of decay is slower in temperate forests than in tropical forests. In contrast, tropical rain forests are hot and wet, have more tree special, although trees are shorter and have an umbrella shape. A tour of the Wind Rover tree canopy demonstrates even more characteristics.
